Frequently Asked Questions
Which LightRanger does this fit?
This one is made for the LightRanger 1200 lantern head. Have a LightRanger 800? Get the Mini Tripod for LightRanger 800 instead. The LightRanger 800 Mini already comes with its own stand.
Does it come with a light?
No. You get the mini tripod and a milled aluminum 1/4"-20 adapter for your lantern head. The LightRanger is sold separately.
How tall does it get, and how small does it pack?
It raises your light up to 4.5 feet and packs down to about 16.5 inches long with the lantern head attached.
Can I still use my full-size LightRanger tripod?
Yes. Your 1200 lantern head comes off the full-size pole and goes onto the mini tripod's adapter, so you can keep the big tripod at camp and use this one on the table, the tailgate or in the truck.
What does the 1/4"-20 adapter do?
It connects your LightRanger 1200 head to the tripod. 1/4"-20 is the standard tripod thread, so the same adapter also lets you put your light on other 1/4"-20 tripods and mounts.
How do I set it up?
Loosen the round locking nut at the top of the legs, unclip one leg from the other two, push the center pole up, spread the legs and tighten the nut. Then attach your lantern head and extend the pole.
Can I buy just the adapter?
Yes. If you already own a tripod with a 1/4"-20 mount, the 1/4"-20 Adapter for LightRanger 1200 is sold on its own.
Is it covered by a warranty?
Yes. The Mini Tripod is backed by the Devos 2-year warranty, and our customer service team is here if anything goes wrong.
